About Our DJ’s
We proudly provide DJ services to the greater St. Louis area.
WE HAVE NO NOVICE DJ’s, PERIOD! We just won’t go there! All you have to do is read some of the online website reviews of some of the larger local DJ companies to understand why make sure our DJ's are very experienced. No matter what any company tells you, a fully trained DJ is not the same as an experienced one. No amount of training replaces experience when it comes to being a good, great or awesome DJ. Just because you have experience, doesn’t necessarily make you a great DJ either. We’ve seen plenty of bad attitudes and “I’m The Greatest Thing Since Cream Cheese” DJ’s, who are pretty experienced, but just don’t cut it for us. There’s a balance, but if the experience isn’t there first, it’s a very risky proposition to just train someone and then put them out on a wedding or special event! There are many companies who do it this way…sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, you just have to hope you’re not the later.
HOW WE GET OUR DJ’S & THE EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE: At the “RESOURCES” tab we have a form for employment opportunity. If you open this form you will notice that we have an absolute minimum requirement for applying DJs. Our minimum requirement is 2 years of experience and can include a combination of club, radio and mobile DJ experience, but absolutely must include mobile DJ experience of at least 50 jobs, and at least ½ of those must be wedding receptions. Keep in mind that this is the absolute minimum requirement just for an interview with our company. In most cases, we look for DJs with at least double that amount. However, we do have several DJ’s on our staff with only 2-3 years of experience who do a fantastic job for us. Most of the DJ’s currently on our staff have anywhere from 4-15 years of professional experience and range in age from 22-48.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR, EXPECT & HAVE IN OUR DJ’S: First and foremost, a fun and positive attitude; DJ’s that are motivated and eager to go out and make sure you have the best party! DJ’s who are astute, punctual and well groomed! DJ’s who have broad-based music knowledge! Approachable DJ’s who are friendly and caring about you and your event. We absolutely require 100% of these qualities from all of our DJ’s! We pay our DJ’s very well, even our value system DJ’s make better money than those from many of the other local DJ companies who charge a lot more for their most basic service. In addition, our value system DJ’s are at least as, if not more experienced.
THE DJ WE SEND TO YOU & HIS/HER EXPERIENCE: This is really based on which level of package you choose from our company but rest assured, we have no hacks on our staff! All of our DJ’s do a great job, whether you go with one of our lowest cost Value Packages or highest cost Premium Packages. We have included a listing of the minimum DJ experience with our designated package groupings below:
Value Package DJ’s have 2+ years of professional experience and have provided mobile DJ service to anywhere from 50-100 or more private events, school dances and wedding receptions.
Pro Sound Package DJ’s have 4+ years of professional experience and have provided mobile DJ service to anywhere from 100-175 or more private events, school dances and wedding receptions.
Pulse Package DJ’s have 6+ years of professional experience and have provided mobile DJ service to anywhere from 175-250 or more private events, school dances and wedding receptions.
Premier Package DJ’s have 8+ years of professional experience and have provided mobile DJ service to over 250 private events, school dances and wedding receptions. If you book either of our Premier Packages, and your event is a wedding reception, then we provide you with a DJ from Elite Pro DJ who has 10+ years of extensive wedding reception experience having provided DJ service to no less than 300 wedding receptions.
PA Package Operators/DJs: These packages typically do not include a DJ except with our special ceremony/reception combo deals. They normally come with a system operator, who is someone that sets up, runs the system, and plays specific music per your guidelines. This arrangement is most often used for things like wedding ceremonies, and specialty events where an actual DJ is not needed, just someone to run the system and/or play the music. These operators have plenty technical experience, as well as good music knowledge, and are very capable of running the system per your needs. They are not DJ’s however, and do not make announcements or direct/orchestrate your event in any way.
